Client Canadian Film Centre Services WCAA Standards (Accessibility), Website Design & Development cfccreates.com Overview CFC presented us with the exciting challenge of creating them a new website that met the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. This was important to the Canadian Film Centre because of their committment to challenging the status quo, injustice, and being inclusive and accessible for all. What we did With prioritization of inclusion, equality, and diversity at the forefront, this project challenged us to level up our design and development to better serve all individuals. Web accessibility is about giving everyone access to the same information and ensuring experiences can be tailored to individual needs and preferences. Our collective goal with the CFC was to create a website that better served their audience and still showcased the dynamic and interesting work they do in the film industry. Another aspect of the project was considering the immense amount of data CFC has available. They have a large community of alumni and are welcoming new students each year. It was important that the programs and offerings were easy for potential new students to browse, understand, and apply for each year. On top of that, there is a large alumni directory that required some simplification and streamlining, while retaining past graduates.
